Puddledub Nature
Curate Photos, Update Copy & Design of Website
Client:
Gerald Lincoln was a Zoologist, not just in his work where he was a Professor but in all aspects of his life. He was a constant champion of nature and endlessly curious. This website is his photographic record of a life lived in the pursuit of knowledge, with a never ending fascination and appreciation for the natural world.
Challenge:
The Puddledub Nature website needed to be more fully categorised with subtle updates made to the copy and design without losing the feel created by Gerald before his death.

Solution:
I changed the background and font colour from black and lime green to dark green and cream. I felt this was gentler on the eye and allowed the photos to shine. I made small changes to the copy to make it more concise but still informative. I also separated the photos into 2 categories, Puddledub Nature and Nature Travels . I curated the Komodo photos into the correct order of the trip, I used dates if they were available but also maps and research into the National Parks they travelled to. I added any additional information to the photos I could to record as complete an overview of this extraordinary expedition as possible for Gerald's family and friends and other nature enthusiasts to enjoy in the years to come.
